Born in Wales; an assisted migrant to Australia; travelled to Alaska, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, lived in America for a year. Australian adventures include a number of trips to central Australia to experience ‘secret womens business’; living in Brisbane for ten years; walking part of the Larapinta Trail, and painting that country. Travelled through the Kimberley in 2010, drawing the corrugation of the roads and painting the magic of the Bungle Bungles. A trip to Antarctica in 2012 inspired a whole series of iceberg paintings.
